Day 3-Bruges

**My Big Adventure – Day 3: Bruges**

A Slow Start

This morning we had a slower start—thank goodness! All that travelling had worn us out. We went for breakfast at a lovely little café, and since the sun was shining (a huge change from yesterday’s rain), we sat outside. I supervised the waitress carefully to make sure

she got Mum and Dad’s order right, then stretched out on the warm cobblestones for a little snooze while they gobbled their food.

Tour Guide Dad

After breakfast, Dad declared himself our “tour guide” for the day. Off we went, strolling past pretty canals and towering churches. I wasn’t allowed inside the churches (apparently my paws aren’t holy enough), so Mum and Dad took turns going in while I waited. Mum also nipped into a few shops, and Dad and I hung about outside watching the *really big dogs* (horses). I’ve decided they’re not so scary after all—I actually quite like the way they trot around.

Busy City, Busy Pup

The city was busy, but that meant I got to say hello to lots of doggos. Mum and Dad kept snapping photos of me too. Honestly, it felt like travelling with the paparazzi, but I must admit—I *am* very photogenic.

Beer & Ball Time

We stopped at a brewery so the hoomans could have a beer and I could rest my paws. Naturally, I became the centre of attention. Everyone wanted to say hi to me, which I accepted graciously, of course. Then our little tour continued until Dad found a dog park just

for me. It wasn’t very big, but that didn’t matter—I sprinted after the ball as fast as I could. Eventually, though, the heat got to me, and I was panting so hard I had to stop. Best part of the day though, no question!

A Museum I Could Join

Next came a beer museum, and guess what—I was allowed in! Mum and Dad got headphones and a tablet to listen to boring facts while I flopped on the floor, still too hot and tired from fetch to care. In the beer hall I met two Aussies who were missing their own German Shorthaired Pointers. Naturally, they chatted to Mum and Dad all about me (what else would they talk about?), and I fell fast asleep while they enjoyed their drinks.

Guard Duty at the Hotel

Back at the hotel we all had a good rest. I woke up when I heard intruders (other guests in the corridor), so I leapt into action and guarded my hoomans like a true professional.

Dinner Time Torture

For dinner we went somewhere amazing—an all-you-can-eat ribs restaurant! And the best part? I was allowed inside. The smell of ribs was pure torture, and despite my best efforts, I wasn’t given a single

bite. Still, it was cosy indoors, and I had plenty to watch as the world went by while Mum and Dad feasted.

Day’s End

It’s been another busy, tiring day. Tomorrow, we’re off to the Semois Valley. Mum and Dad say it will be more “my vibe.” We’ll see about that…

Best & Worst Bits

**Best Bit of the Day:** Playing fetch in the dog park until my paws (and tongue) couldn’t keep up.
**Worst Bit of the Day:** Watching Mum and Dad eat juicy ribs while I got nothing
