Day 14 – Luxembourg

**My Big Adventure – Day 14 – Luxembourg City**

A Restless Night

Last night was a disaster—I couldn’t sleep. First, I got thirsty. I stood at the bedroom door waiting for a hooman to open it, but nobody came, so I woke Dad. He thought I needed to go outside, so he got dressed, ready to trudged down all the stairs with me… only for me to

dash straight to my water bowl. He was cross, muttering that it “could have waited until morning.” Excuse me, do you want me to *die of dehydration*? That’s on him, not me.

Then, I thought I heard intruders and let out some grumbles and woofs… false alarm. Whoops. Dad told me off again. After that, I couldn’t get comfortable—I circled and huffed and shuffled around, and yes, Dad grumbled at me once more. Honestly, if I were allowed in the *big bed*, I’d have slept peacefully all night.

Slow Morning Start

When the alarm went off at 7am, I was still half-asleep. I snoozed until 7:30 before starting my important job of supervising the packing.

I’m an excellent supervisor, making sure nothing gets left behind. Of course, my belongings take up the most space—two full trips to the car. What can I say, I don’t pack light. I like my comforts.

Once everything was loaded, we checked out and stopped for a proper breakfast. Finally, back in the car, I curled up and slept the whole drive to… Luxembourg City.

First Impressions

Not my favourite. We checked into a hotel called *Mama Shelter*. Sounds cozy, right? Wrong. No sofa, not allowed on the massive bed, and constant noises in the hallway from strange intruders. Not impressed.

Exploring the City

After dropping our stuff, we walked into the centre through some pretty parks—plenty of doggos out and about. I wondered where they get to run free around here. But of course, the hoomans immediately stopped for coffee and snacks. Two minutes in town, and they’re already sitting down. Boring. I flopped onto my blanket and people-watched until they were done.

Then Dad switched to *Tour Guide Mode* again, though thankfully this walk was shorter and with fewer boring buildings. We wandered through another lovely park full of new smells. I even saw humans balancing on strange boards with wheels (skateboards). Weird creatures.

A Taste of My Roots

Later, we stopped at a German brewery—finally, my people! I

entertained everyone while the hoomans had a drink, then we headed back toward our part of town. They found a quiet little spot where I got to go off-lead for a bit—freedom at last!

Dinner & Sleep

Afterwards, we stopped at an Italian place for dinner. By then I was so tired from my restless night that I couldn’t keep my eyes open. We

headed back to the hotel, where I collapsed into my bed. Tomorrow we leave the city for the countryside—and hikes! I need to catch up on my beauty sleep so I’m ready.

Best & Worst Bits

**Best Part:** Getting a little off-lead freedom in the park.
**Worst Part:** The hotel rules—no sofa, no big bed, and way too much noise!
